Marvin was born June 8, 1935, in Askov, Minnesota, to Svend and Nellen (Linde) Christensen.
Marvin’s father, Svend, immigrated to America from Ringstad, Denmark in 1912 with his eight siblings.
Marvin joined the Air Force on November 16, 1953, and served four years of active service, rising to Staff Sergeant as a naval systems technician. He re-upped for over five years on January 14, 1958.
Marvin held many positions after his service in the Air Force including computer technician, but his passion was farming. Marvin loved country living, working the land and raising calves. He was very active in church and had an amazing sense of humor. Marvin loved spending time with his family at every opportunity.
Marvin loved the Lord Jesus. He dedicated his adult life to study of the Bible and never “turned to the right or left.” Because of his diligence, he was able to get many of his children and extended family saved. Thank you dad, we love you and can’t wait to see you in Heaven!
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Svend and Nellen Christensen; and his brother, Bob and Boots Christensen.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Jean Bracewell Christensen; his six children, Karen Lee Sammons and husband, Mark, Sharon Dee Christensen, Kenith Marvin Christensen, Troyon Dell Christensen and wife, Alma, Janet May Nelson and husband, Chad, and Eric Marshall Christensen; and his sister, Carolyn Christensen. Marvin was also blessed with 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
