All veterans, active-duty military and descendants are invited and encouraged to attend the following activities in honor of Veteran’s Day: Friday, November 7, free lunch with numerous door prizes at the Lexington First Baptist Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Saturday, November 8, placement of flags at the Lexington Cemetery starting at 10 a.m.; Tuesday, November 11, Lexington High School will host a free breakfast at 8 a.m. with a program to follow at 9 a.m. in the high school gym; and Tuesday, November 11, American Legion Auxiliary Luncheon starting at 11 am in the Legion building (104 E. Broadway), all veterans eat free.
The American Legion Post 301 will be attending a District Conference on November 18 in lieu of their regular breakfast and meeting.
The conference will be at Norman Post 88 located at 710 E. Main in Norman starting at 10 a.m. with registration begins at 9 a.m.
All veterans are invited and encouraged to attend.
