Lexington’s 2023 football homecoming will be Friday night at Floyd West Field beginning at 7 p.m. prior to their gridiron clash with Marietta at 7:30 p.m.

Queen coronation begins at 7 p.m.

Lexington’s 2023 football homecoming will be Friday night at Floyd West Field beginning at 7 p.m. prior to their gridiron clash with Marietta at 7:30 p.m.

Queen candidates for this year include Thore Langford, Katie Paulus, Maison Sissney, Morgan Cline, Kiely Givens, Serenity Hannabass, Adeline Gower, Elena Serrano and Alie Holler-Willess.

King candidates include Daemean O. Swales, Dominic Diaz, Booth Vaughn, Logan Carroll, Jarrett Stone and Ean Caywood.

The flower girl is Jordyn Thetford while Jonesy Ennis will serve as crown bearer.

Langford is the daughter of Tonja and William Langford. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is president of FCCLA.

She attends Mid-America Technology Center and is in student council. She plans to go to college and live her life to the fullest.

Her favorite quote is from Martin Luther King, Jr., “Hate is too great a burden to bear. I have decided to love.”

Paulus is the daughter of Teri Paulus, Uriah Paulus, Stacie Paulus and Terry Clett.

She is in criminal justice and has been promoted to squad leader.

She plans to be a detention peace officer until she turns 21 and then go to Cleet and go to college to get an associates degree and then work for the OSBI in crimes against children.

Her favorite quote is “To be challenged in life is inevitable. To be defeated is optional - 49th Academy.

Sissney is the daughter of Jon and Stacy Sissney.

She is in the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honors Society, was All-District second team utility player in softball and was an All-District softball catcher.

She plans on playing college softball and majoring in mechanical engineering.

Favorite quote: “If it makes you happy, it’s not a waste of time,” - Leonie Wise.

Cline is the daughter of Ruby and Jess Cline.

Her honors and awards include Breaking Tradition, Basic Training, Ft. Lee Virginia AIT and archery four years.

She attends Mid-America Technology Center and is a proud member of the U.S. Army.

Her future plans are as a military lawyer and diesel technician. She wants to be in the Air Borne before becoming a lawyer and deploying.

Her favorite quote is, “Outside of mass chaos there was no way anyone was going to beat me.” - Ricky Carmichael.

Givens is the daughter of Jessica and Jacob Givens.

She is in the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and is in the Gifted and Talented program.

She attends Mid-America Technology Center, plays fast-pitch, slow-pitch, basketball and is a cheerleader.

She plans to attend Northeastern State University to earn a degree in Health Administration.

Favorite quote, “It’s the choice you have to wake up every day and say ‘There’s no reason today can’t be the best ay of my life,” Blake Lively.

Hanabass is the daughter of Charissa and Scott Hanabass.

She is a two-time All-America nominee and an All-State nominee.

She is in Show Choir and vocal.

Her future plans are to follow the path the Lord takes me.

Her favorite quote is, “All it takes is one person to make a difference.”

Gower is the daughter of Shanda Gower.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, was named Cross Country MVP, Academic Athlete and Superintendent’s honor roll.

She attends Mid-America Technology Center in nursing services advanced, GNT and FCA.

She plans to go to college to become a labor and delivery nurse and possibly take over her mother’s business.

Her favorite quote, “If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.”

Serrano is the daughter of Heather and Richard Serrano.

Her honors and awards include National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, Outstanding Student Award at Mid-America Technology Center, Oklahoma Horse Show Association Novice Youth Reserve Champion, 4.0 GPA and Most entertaining show that she co-choreographer.

Her activities include cheer, horseback riding, Mid-America Technology Center Equine Production, Co-Dance Captain for Show Choir and Co-Choreographer for women’s Show Choir.

Her future plans are to go to college and major in Equine Business. After graduation she wants to become a riding instructor.

Her favorite quote is, “Good-bye may seem forever. A farewell is like an end. But in my heart, the memory and there you’ll always be,” - The Fox and The Hound.

Holler-Willess is the daughter of Brandi and Mike Jenks and the late Joby Green.

She has been on the Principal’s Honor Roll and was a 2023 State Qualifier for powerlifting.

Other activities include being a youth member at Lexington First Baptist Church, an FCA leader, FFA reporter and participates in softball and powerlifting.

She plans to attend college to earn her Bachelor of Interior Design degree and get an athletic training degree.

Her favorite quote is from Colossians 3:23 - “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord not for human masters.”

Swales is the son of Veta Byrd.

He attends Mid-America Technology Center and is in the Oklahoma National Guard.

He wants to become a drone engineer and operator.

His favorite quote: “You don’t notice your progressing in life because you are always raising the bar.”- Unknown.

Diaz is the son of Michelle Diaz.

He has been in the Regional Powerlifting and plays football.

He plans on majoring in geology in college.

Favorite quote: “Just go with the flow” and “Don’t worry, be happy.”

Vaughn is the son of Paula and Dewayne.

He is a three-time state qualifier in cross country and made state in archery along with being able to sing in Nashville with the Show Choir.

He runs cross country and track. He is in Show Choir and is a youth leader at FBC Lexington.

He plans to go to college and earn a degree in paleontology and then work for the National Park Service and make new discoveries.

Favorite quote: Proverbs 18:15 “An intelligent heart acquires knowledge and the ears of a wise man seek knowledge.”

Stone is the son of Amanda and Jeremy Stone.

He is in the National Honor Society, National Technical  Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, Superintendent’s Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll.

He runs cross country, plays golf, is in Gifted and Talented and Pre-engineering.

He plans to study aerospace engineering in college.

Favorite quote: “Everybody stay positive no matter how negative life gets.”

Caroll is the son of Heather Gilleland.

He has been in G&T since the 7th grade. He has been on the honor roll all four years and was an Archery State Qualifier.

Other activities include baseball, carpentry, E-sports and golf.

He plans to major in engineering in college.

His favorite quote: “Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow just as well,” - Mark Twain.

Caywood is the son of Mickey Caywood and Debbie and Jim Sipe.

Caywood is a four-year starter and letterman in football, earned the linebacker award and Bulldog tackling leader. He was a Purcell Register Player of the Week, Jason Bridwell Ins. Agency Offensive Player of the Year in 2022 and has multiple Bridwell Player of the Week awards on defense. He also lettered in powerlifting and baseball.

Other activities include motocross racing, hunting and fishing, farming and ranching and team roping. He enjoys “hanging out with the boys.”

He currently works with Morris Farms at Wayne with plans to continue after graduation. He plans to continue motocross racing and is interested in becoming a firefighter and kill a big deer.

Favorite quote: “It’s not the violence that sets a man apart, it’s the distance he is prepared to go to get what he sets his mind to.” Equal in Ean’s words, “If you want to achieve something bad enough, you’ll go through whatever it takes to get there.”

Thetford is the daughter of Tyler and Stevanna Thetford.

She plays T-ball and basketball and wants to be a teacher and a rock star.

Ennis is the son of Jarod and Nikki Ennis.

He participates in gymnastics, soccer, basketball, anything that has to do with cars and riding his bike with his friends.

His future plans are to own either a Chevy Silverado Trail Boss or a Chevy Camaro 2LS and also to work on cars.
