Lex goes 1-2 in Dibble Festival

Lexington put its best foot forward in their first game of the Dibble Festival in Chickasha Monday defeating Dickson, 7-1.

The Lady Bulldogs, who were led at the plate by Leslie Barber and Abby Sample, both who had two hits.

Lexington used a four-run second inning to springboard past the Lady Comets. Lexington started the game with a run in the first and pushed across two insurance runs in the top of the fifth.

Izzy Pack had an RBI triple and coach Kayla Stewart got doubles from Barber and Abby Turnpaugh.

Abby Sample knocked in a pair of base runners in the victory.

Lexington out-hit Dickson 11-5.

Minco pinned a 6-2 loss on Lexington in their second game of the festival Monday. 

Promise Houck and Barber led the offense both going 2-3 and both scored a run. Barber had an RBI double in the game.

Also getting hits for Stewart’s club were Turnpaugh, Ryli Harmon and Harley Salisbury.

Minco struck early pushing across three runs in the top of the first and adding a run in the second before Lexington scored their two runs in the bottom of the third.

Minco scored a pair of insurance runs in their half of the fifth.

Lexington returned to Chickasha Tuesday for another game in the festival and lost to Elgin, 13-10.

Sample led the offense with a three run scoring double.

Izzy Pack went 1-1 at the plate and had two RBIs. Houck matched that RBI output going 1-2.

Barber was 1-3. Sierra Petit also had a hit in the game.

Up next for the Lady Bulldogs is their own tournament starting today (Thursday) and running through Friday.
