Kulbeth named Broyles awardee

Dinner set for December 5 in Little Rock

Washington Defensive Coordinator Jeff Kulbeth has been announced in the first wave of Broyles Award Winners.

Kulbeth has coached at Washington for the past 16 years. He is also the Warriors Head Baseball Coach.

Winners will be honored at the 2022 High School Broyles Award Honoree Dinner December 5 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

A native of Marlow, Kulbeth came to Washington after a stint at Blanchard coaching football.

The dinner coincides with the annual collegiate Broyles Award ceremony.

The High School Broyles Award is partnering with FieldTurf, a division of the Tarkett Sports family. FieldTurf is a leader in sports surfacing systems, with over 25,000 installations worldwide. In   2018,   the   Broyles   Award   added   to   their  27-year   tradition   of   honoring   the   nation’s   best collegiate assistant football coaches through the creation of the High School Broyles Award.

This award honors the top high school assistant football coaches in every participating state, projecting their excellence onto the national stage.

The Broyles Award was created in 1996 recognizing Coach Frank Broyles’ legacy of selecting and developing great assistants during his almost two decades as head coach at Arkansas.
