Bradley Hodson, who was charged with first degree murder in the death of William Todd Dupler, was found guilty of negligent homicide.
The McClain County jury ruled on the lesser charge of negligent homicide charge and recommended a one year sentence in the county jail.
Hodson was found guilty of running over and killing Dupler November 11, 2020 in Newcastle.
District Judge Leah Edwards allowed a $7,500 bond which the defendant posted.
He will next appear in court April 4 for the formal sentencing.
