The overnight thunderstorm early Sunday brought thunder and lightning along with 1.1” of rain.
Another 1.2” was recorded Tuesday.
That hefty rain hiked the unofficial year-to-date total for Purcell to 29.64” compared to 22.64” at Will Rogers International Airport.
The normal year-to-date total is 14.72”.
There is a chance of rain for Purcell nearly every day until the middle of June.
