Joyce Lee (Enox) Henderson Bebout Selman, 84, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 in Norman, Okla. She was born to D. B. and Ola Mae (Jackson) Enox on July 27, 1937 in Paoli, Okla.
Joyce met and married her first husband, Thomas Meredith Henderson, Jr. on March 10, 1955 in Wayne and during the 23 years of marriage, five children were born. She lived on an acre of land north of Maysville for 64 years and only recently moved due to health reasons to live by her daughter, Robin Ward and husband, Dennis, in a tiny house on their property.
Joyce had worked at nursing homes and home health during her working years. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren coming to visit her and would always give them suckers and get hugs.
She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, feeding her chickens, sewing, feeding and watching the birds. Joyce attended Abundant Love Fellowship. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Brenda Robinson and Quinton of Lexington, David Henderson and Julie of Maysville, Robin Ward and Dennis of Byars, Tim Henderson of Maysville, and Phillip Henderson and Pam of Maysville; brothers, Lonnie D. Enox of Porter, Donald Enox and Rita of Sulphur and Jeffery Enox of Tulsa; sister, Carolyn Vincent and John of Hectorville, Okla.; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, D. B. and Ola Mae Enox; husbands, Junior Henderson, Leroy Bebout and Dewitt Selman; and brothers, O. D. Enox, Harold Enox and Doug Enox.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Abundant Love Fellowship, Maysville with Bro. Danny Gamble officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Okla.
