The Knights of Columbus of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church will hold its annual Beast Feast Saturday, February 26.

The event will be held in the parish hall at Fourth and Jefferson in Purcell.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person, $30 per couple and $40 for a family.

All proceeds go to Knights of Columbus Community Projects.

The 32nd Annual Purcell Bonus Auction has been rescheduled, according to Erica Keen, Purcell High School ag instructor and FFA advisor.

The Purcell Bonus Auction is now set for Thursday, March 3, at 6 p.m. in the Purcell Ag Ed Building.

The Purcell Public Library Penn Avenue Literary Society Book Discussion will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3.

Join the group for a lively virtual book discussion every first Thursday of the month. This month’s book is The Floating World by C. Morgan Babst.

The Lil’ Dragon Food Pantry is in need of your help.

Professionally managed by Pam and John Hobbs, the food ministry is one of the most important in town.

Items needed by the pantry include canned vegetables, individual fruit cups or applesauce, beef jerky, mac and cheese, chunky soups, canned meals like SpaghettiOs, oatmeal, cereals and Vienna sausages.

The pantry is currently located in the old junior high school at Green and Apache.

For persons wishing to make a monetary donation they may be mailed to Trinity United Methodist Church at 211 N. Second Avenue, Purcell, OK 73080.

This is a quick, easy and good recipe that everyone likes.

Mexican Casserole

1 lb. hamburger

1/2 onion, chopped

1 can Rotel

1 can of Fiesta Nacho Cheese

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 can cream of chicken and rice soup

1 soup can water

Corn tortillas

Grated cheese

Cook hamburger and onion together, drain. Add soups and let it heat through.

Tear up corn tortillas and put in bottom of casserole dish sprayed with Pam. Add meat and soup mixture. Top with grated cheese.

Bake at 350° until cheese is melted.
