Football season is officially here! Here’s a good recipe to serve for your tailgating event.

Bacon Cheeseburger Crockpot Dip

1 lb. of ground beef

8 oz. packet of cream cheese, cubed

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

10 oz. can of diced or chopped tomatoes with green chiles

6 oz. package of real bacon bits, divided

Assorted chips

Begin to brown the ground beef. Remove excess liquid and place into a large skillet.

Over low heat, stir in the cheeses, tomatoes along with all their juices. Add bacon bits except for 2 tablespoons (set these aside for garnishing at the end). Mix together well within the skillet until all ingredients are heated well.

Pour the heated mixture into a 2-quart crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours stirring occasionally.

Serve & garnish with remaining bacon bits.
