This is a good recipe that everyone in the family will love.

Broccoli Chicken Cheese Casserole

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed (rotisserie works great)

4 cups broccoli florets, fresh or frozen (blanched if fresh)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

10.5 oz. can cream of chicken soup

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers or panko breadcrumbs (optional topping)

2 tablespoons melted butter (for the topping)

Preheat your oven to 375°.

Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

If using fresh broccoli, steam or blanch the florets for 2–3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. If using frozen, thaw completely and drain well to avoid excess moisture.

In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.Whisk until smooth and well combined. This creamy base is the flavor backbone of your casserole.

Step 4: Assemble the Casserole

Add the cooked chicken and steamed broccoli into the sauce mixture. Stir until everything is evenly coated. Then fold in 1-1/2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese.

Pour the entire mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly with a spatula.

Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the top. In a small bowl, mix crushed crackers or panko with melted butter, then sprinkle this mixture over the cheese layer.

Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
