Maybe a look at closings in the next two weeks will help get you in the mood.
The holiday season officially begins Friday for Lexington Schools and Monday for Washington and Wayne Schools, as well as Mid-America Technology Center.
Purcell Schools are already closed.
Classes are slated to begin January 4 at Wayne and MATC and January 5 at Purcell, Lexington and Washington.
City offices in Purcell, Lexington, Goldsby, Washington and Wayne will join state and federal offices in closing December 24 and 25 and January 1.
There will be no mail delivery on those days.
The McClain County Courthouse will be closed December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.
The Purcell Register and Purcell Public Library will be closed December 24 and 25 and January 1.
McClain Bank and First United Bank will be open until noon on December 24 and will be closed December 25 and January 1. First United Bank will also be closed December 26.
