Bids were to go out for construction of a new Ag Barn and the new parking lot north of the junior high school on Wednesday.
That’s the word from Purcell Superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo after Monday’s regular monthly meeting at the administration building.
The board appointed Dr. McAdoo, Malachi Blaxton, Cindy Stone, Tina Swayze, Carol Testa, Daniel Rowdy Cole, Jason Sanders, Ricky Hammer, Aaron Dillard and Carolyn Anyong as personnel evaluators.
The board approved the purchase of 40 Acer Chromebooks from Redbud funds at a cost of $17,278.80 and approved the annual Riley Boatright plan in conjunction with Wadley’s EMS.
That provides medical personnel at all sporting events.
The board gave its stamp of approval to operate by hours instead of days per the Oklahoma State Legislature and approved the certified and non-certified salary scales.
They also approved the teacher contract and heard from Goldsby Construction that the foundation will be poured this week on the FEMA gymnasium on the south side of the junior high.
Work continues on the GEO Thermal wells just west of the junior high school.
