Edyth Beulah Sargent died February 20, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years 10 months 27 days. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Sanctuary Church in Lexington, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service. Edy was born March 24, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa, to Harley Daniel and Louise Land (Barber) Holcomb. The Holcomb family moved to Oklahoma City while Edy was still in grade school. She was raised in Oklahoma City and Edmond, graduating from Capital Hill High School in 1968.

In 1973, Edy met Lance Dale Sargent, and then eight years later, on July 27, 1979 they were married in Oklahoma City. In 1981, Edy and Dale moved to Lexington to raise their own family, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Edy committed her life to God, her family, and her tax service. She spent every day of her life in service for others. Whether it was through fellowship, volunteer, or even business, Edy used her life to testify to others about the Love of Jesus.

Edy was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Louise Holcomb and her her siblings, Glenda Sturgis, Mary Bustos, and Verlia Murrison.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Sargent; her daughters, Mistie Sargent Jenson and husband, Monty, and Cristie Sargent Cutting and husband, Jeff; sons, Lance Sargent Jr. and Walter Sargent; grandchildren, Paul, Kyla, Rhayna and husband, Barry, Cryslyn, Victoria and husband, Bobby, Lance III (Junebug), Brian, Hunter, Kaydence, Christopher and wife, Ashley, Blane, Ricky, Jessie and Fay; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Zayden and one on the way, Braelynn; siblings, Dennis Holcomb and Susan Tipton; and numerous other relatives and friends.
