For her bravery and professional actions at the McClain County Jail back in December that saved an inmate’s life, Deputy Sgt. Hannah Armstrong, center, received the Law Enforcement Commendation Award by the Sons of the American Revolution in a brief ceremony Monday morning at the McClain County Courthouse.

Sheriff Landy Offolter, left, nominated Armstrong who was presented with the prestigious award by Mark Atterson, president of the organization in Norman. Sgt. Armstrong administered NARCON twice to the inmate who was found non-responsive in a cell. By the time EMTs arrived, the inmate was beginning to come around and survived.
