Debra Lou “Debi” Wilcox died February 3, 2023, in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2023, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment followed at the Wanette Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Debi was born December 12, 1953, in Denver Colorado. She was raised in Colorado, graduating from Hinkle High School in 1972.
Debi married the love of her life, Gerald “Jerry” Steven Wilcox, and celebrated 30 years together before Jerry’s passing. Debi enjoyed farming with a passion for horses and goats; however, above all else, she loved spending time with her seven grandchildren. She was a great cook and even owned her own café in Oklahoma City. Debi was a hard-working entrepreneur, spending the last 26 years building her a successful custom business, Debi’s Raised Panel Cabinet Doors.
Debi was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wilcox; her mother, Aldeana Dunston Packer; her adoptive father, Pirl Packer; her birth father, Charles Mitchell; and her brother, Charlie Mitchell.
Survivors include her daughter, Wendy Yonce and husband, Ed; her son, Daniel Wilburn; her grandchildren, Mason, Jackson, Daniel Jr., Alexis, Luke, Boston and Brynlee; her siblings, Linda, Lorna, Andy, Carol, Connie, Cheri, Cindy, Cayttie, Chloe, Craig and Carl; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
