COVID vaccines by appointment

COVID-19 vaccines are being administered at the McClain County Health Department by appointment only.

When contacted Monday morning staff at the Purcell facility said they were already booked for this week and to call back on Wednesday to try to make an appointment for next week.

Also, they reported a portal on the website of the Oklahoma State Department of Health is expected soon for citizens to make appointments.

The McClain County Health Department is open at Purcell on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are closed from 12 noon until 1 p.m. for lunch.

The health department is open at Blanchard with the same hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The office is open at alternating towns every other Friday.

Vaccines will also be administered by some pharmacies. You can check to see when or if your pharmacy will be providing the vaccine.
