The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a Newcastle man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Saturday near Rosedale.
Investigating OHP Trooper Joseph Robinson said Melvin Gore, 55, of Newcastle was killed when his motorcycle struck a pole just after 3 p.m.
The trooper said Gore’s 2003 Harley Davidson departed the roadway and hit the pole.
Gore was ejected and was found 45 feet away from the cycle.
