Private memorial services for the immediate family members of Bobby Alvie Periog, 79, of Purcell were held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Services were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mr. Perigo passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Purcell Municipal Hospital.

Bobby was born April 9, 1941 in Dallas, Texas, the oldest of four children born to Alvie William “Bud” and Elizabeth Perigo. He was raised in Hutchins and attended school there, graduating with the Class of 1959. Bobby then attended North Texas University where he studied commercial art.

After leaving college, he moved to Purcell to help with the family business, Sherri Classics. It was here that Bobby met a young lady named Alta Hall. She had started working there, and they quickly became friends and even more. They married, and together raised three sons, Jeff, Steve and Craig.

Bobby worked for more than 25 years in the family business. When his mother Elizabeth retired, he assumed the role of President, and remained in this capacity until Sherri Classics closed its doors. His entrepreneurial spirit moved him into other ventures. He and Alta owned and operated Purcell Office Supply and Bobby even worked as a consultant some.

Bobby had a keen eye and a deep appreciation for quality, and this served him well in all his endeavors. He enjoyed landscaping and was a true green thumb. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling, and spent many years bowling in area leagues. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Purcell. Bobby was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather, brother, uncle and a true friend.  He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Stapp; father, Alvie Pergio and infant twins.
