The McClain County Sheriff’s Department has received reports of citizens being scammed by phone.
“Someone calls a citizen claiming to be with the sheriff’s office and that they are collecting monies,” deputy Scott Gibbons said.
“Neither the sheriff’s office or any law enforcement agency will ever ask you for any type of phone payment,” Gibbons said.
