Purcell’s Board of Education accepted the 2022-23 School District Audit Report at its regular monthly meeting Monday evening at the school administration building.
“We pass all the expectations of what they were auditing,” superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo said.
The board called for the annual school election to be held February 13, 2024 and voted to close the Mama Dragons account and cut them a check for $1,861.91.
In her report to the board, McAdoo reported October is National Principal’s Month and noted the excellent work of Cindy Stone, Tina Swayze, Jason Sanders and Carole Testa.
The home football game with Washington October 19 will be the game honoring veterans.
McAdoo reported the flu clinic at the school will be October 16 and 17 with vaccines free to students and staff.
Fall break will be October 19, 20 and 23.
High school principal Jason Sanders presented the board with a detailed report on drop out rates and remediation progress.
He said since the pandemic Purcell’s numbers are trending in the right direction.
