What was originally called in Wednesday afternoon (August 13) as a medical situation, turned into an assault with one person being arrested.
First responders were called due to Cheryl Wright having abdominal pain at 1103 Ewing Street just before 5:30 p.m.
But when firefighters arrived they found Fredrick Paul Craumer with wounds to his right leg.
Police were called and found blood in the home’s garage, kitchen and living room along with a 5” steak knife with a wood handle between a seat cushion and an arm rest of a recliner in the living room.
A tourniquet was applied to Craumer’s leg and he was transported to OU Medical for treatment.
Wright was arrested for aggravated assault for stabbing her husband. She was transported to Purcell Municipal Hospital for evaluation and then taken to the McClain County Detention Center.
