Funeral services for Addison Lyn Lanham, 17, of Washington will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Goldsby Church. Interment will follow at the Washington Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
Miss Lanham passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 28, 2024.
Born July 3, 2007 in Norman, Addison is the older of two daughters born to David Kyle Lanham and Josephine Lyn (Dunlap) Lanham.
She was raised in Washington where she attended school, before transferring to Dibble as a junior. Addison was a standout athlete on the basketball court for the Warriors, and was set to begin a new journey at her new school. Like most kids her age, she enjoyed hanging out with her friends, listening to music and playing on her phone.
One of her goals after high school, was studying to be a physical therapist. Addison was a bright soul with a loving heart; a good classmate, teammate and student. She was a genuine people person, always smiling and always quick with a joke. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elsa Vital and George Stroad Lanham.
Addison is survived by her parents, David and Josephine Lanham of Washington; sister, Harper Lanham of Washington; grandparents, Phyllis Lanham of Washington, James Dunlap of Lexington and Diana Klepper of Lexington; aunts and uncles, Stroad Lanham and Dawn of Washington, Dawn Lanham of Washington, Jennifer Nichols and Russ of Edmond, James Dunlap and Alicia of Ohio, and Jasmine Adams, Jaime Vital and Jamie Vital, all of California; cousins, Stroad, Breann, Kylen, Emma, Caleb, Aiden, Nico, Isa and Luca; and a host of other family and friends.
