Purcell High School graduate and Norman Resident Haco Barfield, 49, was killed in a grinding traffic accident last Friday night at 120th and SH 39 in Cleveland County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred at 9:12 p.m. when Barfield’s vehicle stopped at a stop sign on 39.
Investigating OHP Trooper Braden Brummett said Barfield pulled out on the highway and into the path of a vehicle driven by Hayden Bugher, 18, of Lexington.
The OHP reported Bugher was injured in the mishap but did not disclose his injuries.
Barfield graduated from Purcell High School in 1995.
The accident investigation remains ongoing.
