Accepting donations for Dragon Lunch program

Posted

Organizers with the Dragon Lunch Account program are accepting donations as the first semester of the school year comes to an end.

The Dragon Lunch Account program helps low income students have funds in their school lunch accounts for meals at school.

Donors make sure children’s  accounts stay current throughout the school year.

“Kids have a hard time focusing at school when they’re hungry,” said Dragon Lunch Account program organizer Jay Tate. “Some kids just need a little extra help with their accounts.”

Money for kids’ accounts are paid at the end of each nine week and the end of the semester is approaching.

In addition to Tate’s Venmo and Cash App accounts below, donations for the program can also be made at Purcell First United Bank.
