A stretch on the slap

You talk about a stretch.

Don’t misunderstand me, I didn’t watch the Oscars Sunday night, but I did catch the news that was made on Monday.

It was pretty unbelievable that Will Smith walked up to the stage and struck Chris Rock in the face.

But even more unbelievable was the fact that a CNN talking head blamed the whole ordeal on Donald Trump.

Granted, I think Trump is an idiot but he was not behind the Will Smith slap.

Geez.

And sticking with the slap.

That is simply just not civilized actions.

When you step back and think about it, it is difficult to wrap your head around what happened.

The gaffes just keep on coming from President Biden.

Initially, I was going to say the country would be better off if he just wouldn’t speak off the cuff.

During the campaign his handlers kept him under wraps so he wouldn’t make incorrect statements.

I was going to suggest they do the same now but I saw photos where he now has cue cards to help him with answers to questions.

Hopefully he will stick with the script and not make statements like he has over the past week concerning Ukraine.

I’m not one to continually look at the price of a gallon of gas.

Why waste your time?

It’s not like you can’t go without it so just belly up to the bar and take your medicine.

But I have a colleague who is a hawk-eye when it comes to how much fuel is for a gallon.

My co-worker will even tell me how much the signs read as she drives into work.

Therefore, even if I don’t read the bad news she keeps me posted.

Depressing.
