Purcell’s 41st annual Christmas Parade is set to carve its way through Main Street tonight (Thursday) starting at 6 p.m.
Chamber Executive Secretary Elisabeth Baker reports up to 50 floats are entered for the parade that will be held December 11.
In addition to the huge number of floats, Purcell Police, Fire and other first responders will be in the big event along with the Purcell Marching Band.
Food trucks for hot chocolate, some baked goods and corn dogs will be on hand and Santa will be hanging around the caboose at Santa Fe Plaza for photos with children.
The parade will begin lining up at 4:30 p.m. on Apache near Purcell Farm and Ranch Supply at 114 W. Apache.
Also Thursday night will be a downtown Art Walk featuring local artists and popup vendors that will make for great holiday shopping.
The Art Walk will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The entire evening should make for excellent family holiday fun.
