Wins over Thackerville and ECP, 5-0 loss to Central

In Wayne’s 5-0 loss to Central, Lane Jones’ double in the fourth inning was about the only bright spot on offense.

Central got on the board in the second inning, scoring two runs.

They added three in the bottom of the fourth to wrap their scoring.

Kaleb Madden started the game on the mound. He allowed two runs on five hits and struck out one.

Ty Kemp came in in relief for two innings. He allowed three runs on five hits and struck out three.

Last Friday, Wayne picked up a 2-1 win over ECP.

Braden McClendon was on the mound and in command. He pitched five innings allowing one run on two hits. He struck out four.

Wayne’s first run was thanks to a single by Rhett Kennedy in the first inning.

The Bulldogs collected five hits in the win. Kennedy and Madden led the team with two each. Kemp added one.

Last Tuesday, Wayne got a run-rule 9-0 win over Thackerville.

Sophomore Jaxon Dill had a no-hitter. He struck out six.

Wayne finished the win with six hits. Kennedy led his team at the plate, going 2-2. He also had five stolen bases.

Dill, McClendon, Jones and Kemp had one hit apiece.

The Bulldogs were at Pauls Valley on Tuesday for a double header with the Panthers. They will host ECP on March 21.
