Wayne Morris died January 12, 2021, in Duncan, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years 7 months 26 days. A Graveside Memorial Service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Lexington Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Wayne was born May 18, 1940, in Lexington, Oklahoma to Albert and Dolly (Wheeler) Morris. He was raised and attended school in Lexington, Oklahoma.
Wayne was inducted in to the United States Army in 1960, proudly serving until his honorable discharge in 1963.
He lived most of his life in Sulphur where he worked at Kraft Foods, then worked in the oilfields until his retirement.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dolly Morris; his sister, Dorothy Wolf; and his brothers, Roger Morris and Larry Dean Morris; his nieces, Belinda Hector and Shannon Dresser; and his nephews, Larry Dean Morris and Zack Hector.
Survivors include his sister, Louise Wyche; his brother, Robert Morris; his sister-in-law, Verna Morris; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
