Wayne lost to Konawa 41-2 Friday night, ending their season.
The Bulldogs only trailed the Tigers 14-2 at halftime.
But missed scoring chances throughout the game eventually spelled doom for the Bulldogs.
Wayne was unable to score three different times in the red zone, with two of those trips ending with stalled drives inside the Konawa five yard line.
“We had opportunities but didn’t capitalize,” said Wayne head coach Brandon Sharp. “Eventually the other team can pull away.”
Wayne’s lone score came after a stalled drive in Tiger territory when Konawa fumbled a handoff exchange and fell on the ball in their own end zone.
Konawa extended their lead in the second half and chewed up clock by running the ball.
Wayne finished the season 1-9.
