Wanda Lorene (Dean) Dismukes-Knapp

Graveside services for Wanda Lorene (Dean) Dismukes-Knapp, 84, of Afton, Okla., will be held at  10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Washington Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mrs. Dismukes-Knapp returned to her heavenly home on July 14, 2021.

Wanda was born to William Luther Moses Dean and Hazel Mae Mason, in a tent on the edge of a cotton field in Buckeye, Ariz., on February 28, 1937.

She married Edward Dean Clark Jr., in 1952 and had four children. They divorced in 1980.

She became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1958 and loved to teach the gospel to everyone she talked to. Many of her friends and family members have joined the church because of her testimony of the gospel and her love for Christ.

After her divorce, she married Albert Edward Dismukes in 1981, until his passing in 2002 and then married, Orville Eugene “Gene” Knapp in 2014, until his passing in 2017.

She loved her family fiercely, letting each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren know with her words and actions. She will be remembered for her love of art, she loved to paint, going to antique and junk stores looking for treasures, visiting with family and friends whenever she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George Harrold Dean; two husbands, a daughter, Deanie Kay Randall; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Edward Dean Clark III and wife, Kay, of Holiday Island, Ark., Georgianne and husband, David E. Knight, of Washington, Okla., Travis Charles Clark and wife, Janice, of Blanchard, Okla., son-in-law, Jonny V Randall of Norman, Okla.; 20 grandchildren and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Until we meet again, she will be missed.
