Funeral services for Walter Douglas “Doug” Watkins, 90, of Lexington will be held at 10 a.. Friday, Oct. 22, 2021 at the Lexington First Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Lexington Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mr. Watkins died Oct. 16, 2021.
He was born June 6, 1931 in Lexington, the sixth of eight children of Walter Lundy Watkins and Tullia Frances (Miller) Watkins.
Survivors include his son, Garry Neal Watkins and wife, Diana, of Ocklawaha, Fla.; daughters, Lori Ann Austin of Shawnee and Lisa Dawn Watkins of Lexington; two sisters, Jequetta Ramsey and husband, Curtis, of Oklahoma City and Sue Byrd of Phoenix, Ariz., and five grandchildren.
