The City of Purcell and the Purcell Veteran’s Committee will hold a dedication service November 16 at 11 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial at third and Main Street.
New names of veterans set on a new stone will be dedicated.
Special services will include a missing man ceremony in honor of MIA/POWs.
“We intend to highlight Vietnam Veterans from our community and give thanks to those who served,” a city official said.
The public is invited to attend.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for seating or they are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs.
Anyone in the Purcell area needing transportation to and from the event may call Delta Transportation at 405 238-9444 before 4 p.m. on November 15.
