Funeral services for Sue Morris, 73, of Lexington were held Monday, March 28, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Lexington. Interment was at the Lexington Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mrs. Morris passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Linda Sue Morris was born November 13, 1948 in Comanche, Okla., to Robert Harper and Oma Louise (Wylie) Harper. She was raised in Healdton and attended school there.

By chance, one night at the drive-in, she met a young man from Ringling named Donald Lewis Morris. She knew he was the one, and on April 5, 1969, Sue married Don in Healdton. By 1976, they had settled near Lexington, where together they raised two daughters, Marci and Jennifer.

Sue worked for the City of Lexington for a time, and owned and operated a dress shop, the Daisy Patch for a few years. She began working for the Department of Corrections and retired as an Administrative Assistant for Probation and Parole after more than 24 years of dedicated service.

Away from work, Sue was probably traveling or chasing her grandkids. She was so proud to take all of them on big family trips to Alaska and Hawaii. Sue enjoyed going on drives and of course her daily stop at Sonic for a Coke. She was a woman of great faith, and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by her mother, Oma Harper.

Sue is survived by her husband Don Morris of the home; daughters, Marci Bean and husband, Jason, of Lexington and Jennifer Claunch and husband, Rocky, of Purcell; her pride and joy, her grandchildren, Kaden Claunch, Carson Claunch, Cooper Bean, Landri Bean and two bonus grandkids, Destiny and Faith Humbolt; her brother, Gary Harper and a host of other family and friends.
