A Celebration of Life Service for Shannon Doyle Farley, 55, of Edmond was held Feb. 11, 2025 at Acts 2 United Methodist Church in Edmond. Services were under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home.
Mr. Farley died Feb. 2, 2025.
He was born April 7, 1969 in Lexington, Okla., the son of George Paul Farley and Loretta Bertha Prescher.
Shannon was a proud graduate of Lexington High School, Class of 1988. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Oklahoma, where he fostered a lifelong passion for the Sooners.
Growing up in a family with three brothers, Mr. Farley developed a strong sense of family and community. He settled in Edmond, Okla., with his cherished wife, Niki, to raise their family and create a home full of love, laughter and memories. He married Niki on October 27, 2000, and they shared a beautiful life together for nearly 25 years.
A proud and devoted father to his sons, Mr. Farley was always happiest when spending time with his family. Whether working on home projects, camping, fishing or supporting his sons in their hobbies and sports, his love for his family was evident in everything he did.
One of his greatest joys was boating and playing at the lake, where he could be surrounded by the people he loved. His warm smile, quick wit and love of dad jokes made him the heart of any gathering and he was always ready to laugh at himself, spreading joy wherever he went.
Mr. Farley had a long and fulfilling career with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), where he dedicated 27 years of service. He was also a faithful member of Acts 2 United Methodist Church in Edmond and Phi Delta Theta. His commitment to serving others was reflected in his daily life; he was the first to offer a helping hand and was always willing to lend his skills and knowledge to anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Farley and his brother, Greg Farley.
He is survived by his wife, Niki; his mother, Loretta Farley; his children, Jack, Dylan and Luke Farley; his brothers, Rick Farley and Paul Farley and his wife, Kristina, along with his nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.
Those who knew Shannon will remember him as a man who truly lived by the values of love, devotion and faith. He was a man of integrity, a loving husband and father and a steadfast friend. His unwavering faith in God guided his every action, and he will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to others and his infectious joy for life.
