Cleveland County road crews are busy chip sealing and asphalting county roads.

Cleveland County officials report they will never ask people to put down a deposit for resurfacing a private driveway.

“County crews cannot legally work on private property,” Joy Hampton Public Information Specialist said.

Some people have reported these scammers are even wearing T-shirts that say Cleveland County, but they are not county employees.
