Sandra L. Gaches (Sandy) of Clifton, Texas, and formerly of Byars, Oklahoma, passed away May 16, 2023 in Waco, Texas, at the age of 73 years.
Sandy Allerding was born June 29, 1949 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to Burton L. and Mable Ruth (Richardson) Allerding. She was raised in the Rosedale and Wayne areas where she attended school.
Sandy lived most of her life in this area, and had made Clifton, Texas, her home for the past three years. She worked as a manager for Braum’s for many years, and later made her way into banking where she earned the position of Vice President. After leaving banking she became the town clerk of Byars, Oklahoma, before retiring to Texas. Although she spent most of her life taking care of/caring for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burton and Mable Allerding; husband, Harold Gaches; one daughter, Sheila Dial; a grandson, Shane Dial and a nephew, Bobby Joe Miller.
Her surviving family include her daughter and three sons, Kelly Gaches and husband, Rickey, of Clifton, Texas, Stevie Logan of Clifton, Texas, Teddy Logan, Sr. of Port St. Joe, Florida, and Toby Dial and wife, Tonya, of Byars, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, Ashli Smith and husband, Nathan, Brady Gaches, Alexa Logan, Teddy Logan, Jr., Tyler Logan, Troy Logan, Emily Logan, Hayley Molina and husband, Amir, Hannah Dial, Dylan Carter and Cori Leon; a host of great-grandchildren; one sister, Judy Miller and husband, Arthur, of Wayne, Oklahoma; as well as two nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Sandy’s life will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the Byars Cemetery near Byars, Oklahoma, officiated by Bo Cail. Inurnment will be at Byars Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
