Preparations continue for the upcoming Lexington’s 89-er Days celebration.

Set for April 22-23 the event continues to draw lots and lots of vendors including food trucks and trinkets.

Advanced tickets will go on sale at City Hall and at Gas N Go and Quick Corner.

The carnival starts Thursday evening and runs through Saturday.

“We have more food vendors than ever plus two entertainment musician acts coming and a local group to be on stage,” Lexington Chamber of Commerce Vice President Mike Harmoning said.

“We keep getting different people,” Harmoning said. “And, we have gunfighters coming.”

He said the car show grows every year.

“It gets bigger and bigger every year,” he confirmed.

Then there is the annual parade at noon on Saturday
