A delay in postal service last week resulted in The Purcell Register not being delivered in a timely fashion to Washington, Newcastle and Blanchard.
Oklahoma City Manager for Customer Relations Mark Waugh told The Register the tubs of newspapers were discovered on the floor of the Oklahoma City postal center two days after they were delivered to OKC Wednesday evening.
Washington’s newspapers were delivered to their post office Friday and postmaster Jo Ogden made sure box holders and subscribers on rural routes got their papers as soon as possible.
Waugh told the newspaper that the service is “unacceptable.”
