A McClain County jury found Steven Monroe John Moody, Jr. guilty Monday, bringing an end to a six-day murder trial.
Moody was convicted of beating his wife, Margarita Moody, to death in early February of 2022.
The jury of four women and eight men deliberated for about 50 minutes after hearing and seeing all the evidence.
Formal sentencing will be held October 9 but he will be sentenced to life without parole by District Judge Leah Edwards.
Prosecuting the case for the State of Oklahoma were Jennifer Austin, the lead prosecutor and DA first assistant, Meredith Harmon and Jonathan Fried.
They called 22 witnesses in the trial, which began October 12. Defense attorney Tyson Stanek called two witnesses for the defendant.
