Manuel Ray Hobson died February 6, 2022, in Lexington, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years 7 months 13 days. Graveside services were held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the Lexington Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service. Online condolences may be made at www.wadleysfuneralservice.com.

Manuel was born June 24, 1955, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Robert and Eula Faye (Baze) Hobson. He was raised and attended school in Lexington, Oklahoma.

Manuel married Linda Davis and have remained friends all these years. Manuel was a hard worker, and over the years, had many different careers. Manual started Golden H Farms, which was one of his favorite things, where he raised Chester hogs. He also started Blue Sock Oil Field and worked many years building homes.

Manuel was an amazing wood worker and trim carpenter.  Manuel also owned and operated different mental health homes around the area. He was a great mechanic and built cars from the ground up. He however, always enjoyed working on his farm, and taking care of his animals. However, out of all things, he loved being with his family, going fishing, and would help anyone in need.

Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eula Fay Hobson; his brothers, Roger Hobson and Boyd Hobson; and his sons, Brandon Hobson, Jody Hobson and Travis Hobson.

Survivors include his son, Micah Hobson of Lexington; the mother of his children, Linda of Oklahoma City; his grandsons, Ty Hobson, Dalton Hobson, and Waylon Hobson, all of Lexington; his great-grandchildren, Brody Glenn Hobson and Addilyn Mae Hobson, both of Lexington; his siblings, Jerry Hobson and Norma Galicia, both of Lexington, and Gayle Sawyer of Wanette; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
