Bridge Creek coming to town

Posted

Lexington will host Bridge Creek in the 2021 fall homecoming tilt Friday night. Kick off is set for 7:30 with the queen coronation set to begin at 7 p.m.

In the battle of Bulldogs last Friday night, Wayne’s defense was too much for Lexington in a 46-6 loss.

Lexington’s lone score came on an 81-yard kickoff return by Josh Scott following Wayne’s third touchdown. The two-point conversion attempt failed.

Lexington was held to minus 48 yards rushing and minus 39 yards of total offense.

“I thought Wayne played great,” Lexington Head Coach Keith Bolles said.

“A game like that obviously showed things we need to improve on. So this week we’ve been getting ready for Bridge Creek and use what we learn from that game to start district play against Crooked Oak.

“District play is our main goal,” the coach concluded.

Bulldog notes:

Lexington Head Coach Keith Bolles said there were no nominations for Player of the Week.
