On their way to a perfect 14-0 season and their third straight State Championship, Washington’s football team set several records both individually and as a team.
Freshman quarterback Creed Barrett now has the single season passing yards record at 3,315, the most passing touchdowns at 38, TD/int ratio at 38/2, longest touchdown pass in a game at 97 yards to Mason Singletary, most completions in a game at 22 and passing yards in a game at 428.
Ohio State signee Nate Roberts tied the touchdowns receiving in a season at 14, now is the career leader in receiving yards at 2,512 and career leader in touchdown catches at 34. Roberts also has the most yards after catch in a game at 137, receiving yards in a game at 201 and is tied with Mason Singletary for most touchdown receptions in a game at three each.
Singletary has the longest reception for a touchdown and owns the mark for receptions in a game at eight. Singletary also owns the record for yards after catch for a season at 624.
The team’s 44-game winning streak is the third longest in Oklahoma 11-man football history.
