Monday night Lexington faced off with Little Axe, but dropped that contest 62-38. The difference was the second and third quarters when Little Axe outscored Lex 43-17.
The Bulldogs held a 9-6 lead after the first stanza, but the Indians went on a tear to take a 30-13 lead into the locker room for halftime.
In the third, Lexington’s offense heated up but was still outscored 19-13.
The fourth quarter saw nearly even scoring, but Little Axe’s lead was too much to overcome.
Cash Dierking was the Bulldogs’ leading scorer with 15. Elijah Pearman added eight and Colt Mixon had six.
Last Tuesday Lexington hosted Davis and picked up a 55-44 win.
Mixon was hot on offense, leading all scorers with 25 points. Dierking and Pearman joined him in double figures with 12 each.
The Bulldogs jumped out in front from the first quarter and held a 39-23 halftime lead.
Davis tightened their defense and only allowed three third quarter points for Lexington while scoring 10 of their own.
Lexington again outscored Davis in the final stanza, 13-11, to pick up the win.
The Bulldogs (6-13) were scheduled to be in Davis today (Thursday) and host Dibble on Friday.
Their final two games of the regular season are on the road at Latta and Little Axe.

Girls
Lexington picked up a win over Little Axe Monday night, 42-30. That moved their season record to 8-11.
The Lady ‘Dawgs started the game with good defense, keeping Little Axe off the board in the first quarter. Lexington hd nine first quarter points. They scored 13 in the second while Little Axe had seven.
The second half saw both teams pick up the offense with Lexington scoring 20 through the third and fourth quarters while Little Axe scored 23.
Dulce Rodriguez was the high scorer with 14 points. Hadley Wilkins added eight and Lexie Torres added seven.
Last Tuesday, the Lady ‘Dawgs lost to Davis, 50-26.
Davis’ defense was tough only allowing six first half points to Lexington. They were up 23-6 at the break.
The second half was much of the same as Lexington scored 18 through the third and fourth quarters.
Rodriguez led the Lady ‘Dawgs with 10 points. Phyllis Webb added six.
With just two weeks of regular season games left, the Lady ‘Dawgs go to Davis today (Thursday), host Dibble on Friday, then go on the road to Latta and Little Axe.
