McClain County Election Board Secretary Karen Haley has announced filings for city and school board races.

The filing period, which opened Monday morning, doesn’t close until 5 p.m. Wednesday.

So far Jay Tate is the only candidate for division 4 for the Purcell City Council.

Bobby  Bruehl and Allen Eubanks have both filed for division 5 for the city council.

Tracy Folsom has filed for Purcell Board of Education office No. 5.

In Washington, Loren Hastings has filed for office No. 4 and Brooke Walkup for office No. 5.

Jay Posey has filed for office No. 5 in Wayne.

Jennifer Mandrell has filed for school board in Dibble for seat No. 5.

Haley reports Donna Stokes has filed for Mid-America position No. 1.

Filing was to continue through 5 p.m. Wednesday.
