Federal low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to Oklahoma businesses, homeowners and renters impacted by the April 19-20 severe storms, straight-line winds and tornadoes.

As of May 23, the SBA has approved 57 loans for $2,728,900 in low-interest loans for businesses of all sizes, private nonprofits, homeowners and renters to assist in their recovery from the storms.

Businesses and residents may also be eligible for SBA disaster assistance to help repair or replace personal vehicles damaged or destroyed by the severe storms. Leased vehicles are also eligible for assistance to cover the uncompensated repair costs and deductibles.

SBA disaster loans cover losses not fully compensated by insurance or other resources. Survivors should not wait for an insurance settlement before submitting an SBA loan application. There is no cost to apply for an SBA disaster loan. If declined you may be referred back to FEMA for additional grant assistance.

Survivors can contact an SBA customer service representative via email at disastercustomerservice@sba.gov ;or by phone at 800-659-2955.
