It’s not merely a suggestion. It’s the law.

No person can advocate for or against a candidate or issue on the ballot during voting for up to 300 feet, the length of one football field of the entrance to the polling place or the last person standing in line.

Those violations include, but are not limited to, t-shirts, jackets, hats, beanies, scarves, buttons, flyers or signs.

Violations are punishable by up to one year in jail, a $10,000 fine or both.
