Lance Spaulding broke a bevy of tackles as time ticked away in the second quarter to give Washington breathing room in what had been a tight 10-0 half. That score gave Washington an insurmountably lead.
The Warriors got the ball first to start the second half and cashed in to eventually pin a 38-8 loss on the visiting Purcell Dragons in the Freedom Football Game at Reed Field.
Purcell’s lone touchdown came on a flea flicker caught by Mojo Browning and tossed pitch to Addison Love who loped in for the score.
In other Heart of Oklahoma action, Dibble slipped past Lexington 20-12 at Dibble.
Lexington’s Jaylen Cottrell scored one of Lexington’s two touchdowns.
The Bulldogs and Demons had fought to a 6-6 first half score before Dibble pulled away.
