Cross Country

Purcell’s Cross Country team finished sixth at the Lexington Invitational Cross Country competition last Friday. Team members are Kyle Ginn, Cade Smith, Zach Idlett, Ronan Little, Bradon Rowden, Bryson Teel and Carlos Pacheco.

Purcell’s Kyle Ginn broke a PHS school record in cross country last Friday that has stood for 32 years.

Ginn’s 16:19 broke the record set by Randy Minyard in 1988, according to cross country coach Randy Belicek.

The old standard was 16:25.

“All the guys ran their personal best times,” Belicek reported.
