Coach David Sikes’s Dragons continue to roll on down the road winning their sixth game in their last seven outings with a 41-34 victory over Davis last Tuesday.

The games with Pauls Valley on Friday were called off due to COVID quarantining.

The girls were to host Bridge Creek Tuesday while the boys were quarantined again.

Both teams are scheduled to host Pauls Valley tonight (Thursday) with the girls starting at 6:30 p.m.

Friday night at 7 p.m. the boys will play at Lexington with both teams slated to play at Washington Saturday with the girls starting at 6 p.m.

Emily Madden and Kora Keith led the scoring in the Davis victory with both throwing down 11 points.

“My girls continue to fight and play hard,” Sikes said.

“We still  haven’t shot the ball great but if they keep putting in the time it will come.

“We showed again how much grit we have after closing out another tough game.”

Coach Roger Raper’s Dragons got their legs and scoring back in their 67-32 victory over the Wolves.

Three Dragons were in double digit scoring led by Mojo Browning’s 18 points. Right on his heels was Nate Willis who finished with 17 points.

Lincoln Eubank drained a pair of three pointers in a 10 point outing. Browning also canned a couple of buckets from downtown.

Playing four games the week before just after coming out of quarantine was very tough on the guys,” Raper said.

“I was concerned with how our legs would respond against Davis.

“I was very pleased with how we responded as a team.

“It was a really nice to see some shots go in for us as that had been a struggle in the three games prior. Now we are quarantined again and will face a five game stretch in six days with only one day of practice,” he said.

Both the boys and girls are scheduled to play on the road at Lindsay next Tuesday with the girls tipping off at 6:30 p.m.
